should Find "textstring" in "All Item Types" search text in all fields (of Messages,
Contacts, Contact Groups, AddressBook Appointments, Calendar)?

If you mean something like "fred smith" in 'All Item Type' search then it's working for me on the 5.0 beta. Perhaps if you described the problem you're having somebody may be able to offer advice.

"All Item Types"), if the string "London" which is stored in
the Country/Region field is searched?
