Email catch-almost-all?!

Hi,

I'm moving over to Zimbra mail/calendar for myself and one or two other people (personal use at the moment, but I hope to encourage work to drop the ageing Lotus Domino/Notes setup at some point as mye and Notes have a hate/hate relationship...). I'm trying to work out how to implement my existing mail setup before I change any MX entries over.

Most of what I want can be done with an account or two and a small pile of aliases. But... I have a sub-domain (indiv.<domain>.<tld>) that I use to give out specific addresses when I fill in web forms (i.e. when joining forums or online shopping sites). I currently do this with a catch-all forward (to indiv@<domain>.<tld>), but once an address starts getting spam it is redirected to /dev/null. What is the best way of doing this with Zimbra?

• (if possible) Point the sub-domain's MX to point at Zimbra, setup a catch-all forward with selected addresses that get ignored
• Point the sub-domain's MX to point at Zimbra, setup a catch-all forward and use filters in that account to delete incoming messages or move them to the spam trainer
• Leave the sub-domain's MX as-is, and let the old mail server drop the problem addresses and forward the rest

On a more general note, if I setup a catch-all as documented in ManagingDomains - ZimbraWiki and also add accounts or aliases for the (sub)domain in question, what takes precedence: the individual addresses (accounts/aliases) or the catch-all?
