I'm using an HTC Phone 8X (Windows Phone 8) with Zimbra via Active Sync.
Works - except for problems with "german Umlauts" - so far.
Unfortunately, attachments cannot be downloaded.
Is this a known problem - maybe a fix exists?

What now? Zimbra doesn't work very well with windows phone 8.
This is an important feature, because sending Emails with single Umlauts displayed as "character salad (e.g.: Gesendet: ‎01.‎03.‎2013 07:49") is simply not professional and an absolute no-go for an IT company.
What can I do? Hope for a fix in a far, distant future? Leave Zimbra and move to SBS?
You purchased the product knowing the terms and conditions - check that what I've stated is correct.
You can't 'hope for a fix' unless you report the problem so I'll say it again, file a bug report.
That's a choice for you to make.

This has been covered many times in the forums, go to bugzilla then register and enter the bug report for the product you're using and give a complete description (including the steps to reproduce.
