Blackberry IMAP connection

I recently moved to Zimbra from Exchange, I have IMAP and Proxy setup, I can connect via IMAP on a pc but when I try to connect a Blackberry to Zimbra I get a message saying - Cannot log in. Verify your email address, user name and password. If the error persists contact XXXX.com

I am stumped, since I can connect from other methods I don't understand why I can't connect via a Blackberry. At this point I don't know where else to turn or what to look at.

when you connect from a pc, are you on the same lan? is it possible that your firewall is blocking imap from outside?
