Great news : LVSync (formerly LVContacts Sync for Zimbra) is available now at the Android Market !
It was long, we’re really sorry, but it has many new features such as :

Will this get expanded in the future to cover calendars and tasks as well? Or will you be working on separate apps for that?

We have ideas for the future of this application, most probably another application for calendars based on te same principles ... more a "connector" for Zimbra calendars well integrated in the Android's calendar just as we did for the contacts.
Maybe a centralized application later with every features accessible from one place but this is to early to talk about these possibilities.

Is your phone using Android 2.x ? The application is not available for Android 1.x and it simply can't run on 1.x due to some API that are only available since 2.0.

I have got some issues with my htc desire (Android 2.1):
Our firm adressbook has got only 50 entries but should have over 1500!
I don't have the chance to un-/select the un/interesting groups.

Can you precise your problem please ? What do you mean, you have less contacts on your phone than you should (50 instead of 1500) ?
You want to be able to select the address books you want to sync ?
To this second question, there is an answer : you can select the address books you want like explained here : Starter Guide - LVContacts Sync for Zimbra and Google Android™.

Can you also give me some details about your Zimbra installation ? Is it a dedicated Zimbra server ? If so, which release and edition (Open Source or Network Edition, release 5.x or 6.x) ?
Well, give us as much details as you can so that we can take a look and try to solve your problem.
