syncing mail with funambol

Hi ALL,

We could sync contacts and calenders with the integration of funambol in to Zimbra. We tried with a Windows Mobile phone.

We used zimbra 6.0.5 64bit with RedHat el5 u4 64bit and funambol 8.0.2.

But, When we try to sync mails , It failed.

Is it possible to sync mails with Zimbra and funambol?

Hi, again, any idea for mail synchronization with funambol. Has anyone achieved this task? Pls be king enough to add your ideas , if it is possible or not?

It woudl be a good idea to provide information on what 'it failed' actually means. A description of the problem, your configuration of Zimbra & Funambol, what sort of errors you're seeing and what you've tried to resolve the problem would provide some information for people to help you.

The fact that It failed means, When we try to sync mails form Windows Mobile phone, it does NOT work. But, Contacts and calenders work.

I searched a lot from the internet, But,I only found docs on how to sync contacts and calenders. By following a Internet how to, I was able to come to this point.

anyway, I created a how to from internet DOCs. I have attached the doc , I made it for myself. Pls see, If interested.

First , Could u Pls let me know, Is it possible to sync mails with Funambol? The reason I asked this question is I CAN NOT find docs on syncing mails with Zimbra and Funambol.

IF there is a doc, It would be really beneficial.

I too would like to configure this; I have z-push working well (1.3rc3, BackendZimbra 31) for the WinMob, iPhone, Nokia MfE users, and have moved on to Funambol for the Crackberries etc.

Funambol 8.5.2 with ZimbraConnector 0.6.02 is working great for contact/calendar but I'm stumped with getting e-mail working. I don't want to have to expose POP or IMAP on my ZCS server to the outside world so REALLY need the Funambol e-mail connector to work. I've seen a walk-through for it, including using EmailOfficer for authentication but that looks like it was written for 6.x and things have changed since.

Does any one have any pointers, or better still can walk me (us) through configuration?

Hi jonallport, Did funambol install outside Zimbra server? I need have it installed outside Zimbra server, on independent server, and sync only contact/calendar.
