Default iPhone Address Book

I am unable to configure the Address book on the iPhone or Macbook. I have followed the settings examples. I can telnet to the zimbra server LDAP port 389.

All queries return No Matching Cards.

Perhaps I have something setup wrong.

The instructions I have found do not work for Thunderbird, Outlook or Address Book

Please assist.

It might help to install Apache Directory Studio on a workstation and use that to (try to) inspect LDAP on your Zimbra server.

Also, what version of Zimbra are you running? If this is a fresh install of 6.x, see Disable Anonymous LDAP Browse

Thanks. I enabled anonymous browsing and I can use external address books, but if I disable anonymous browsing and try to use simple authentication - it fails.
Any Zimbra user should be able to authenticate and browse ldap correct?
