Default Connect Blackberry to Zimbra C.S. Open Source Edition

Hi all,

Recently we migrated from good old postfix to zimbra. We have several mobile users, like android, but that seems no problem.
We do have a problem connecting with a Blackberry, we have to fill in some info, like zimbra-specific emailaddress etc
Please check the screenshot(!)

Our domain from outside
mailserv.example.be
The hostname of our zimbraserver:
zimbramail.gent.example.be

This wizard persistently doesn't want us to connect & we tried everything.

On the other hand, when I try connecting via mail2web via port 143 -> no success.

Or is it impossible to connect this way?

Thanks in advance!

Those are: 143 (and 25)
I should say that this Blackberry-thing only supports port 143

Are you specifying the account as user@domain.com ? if you check /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log you should see the account connecting and why it is being rejected.

Thanks for you reply!

This is what we found in the log after having tried to connect via the blackberry config website:

We were just thinking out loud, could it be because it's the Open Source edition? 'without blackberry support'

Thank in advance

Indeed, but no means to get it connected..!
We thought about maybe filling out the wrong info, although we tried everything

Our domain from outside (= our router that port-forwards to the zimbra mailserver)
mailserv.example.be
The hostname of our zimbraserver:
zimbramail.gent.example.be

For example, for 'email address' we wrote h.k@mailserv.example.be while the user on the server is h.k
