Default Z-Push Zimbra Backend (Push Email, Contacts, Appointments & Tasks)

Hi

I just finished a Z-push backend for Zimbra to sync Contacts, it just contacts for now but I intend to implement
the others "calendar, tasks" and maybe email.

If anyone is interested to test it, drop me a note and I will send you the code
cesar.bonadio!!gmail.com

Thanks

The initial contacts backend project has been superseded by a complete z-push backend for zimbra.

The latest version is always available at

SourceForge project :- "Z-Push Zimbra Backend"

Cool, email shouldn't be hard: Open Source Mobile Push Mail - Zimbra :: Wiki (The current z-push if you want to expand that to document how contacts work.)

The funambol one: Open Source Mobile Calendar and Contact Synchronization - Zimbra :: Wiki
(Should probably rename those sometime / keep each product to a page - it was back when funambol was for cal/contacts & z-push was just mail.)

Was wondering if you had made any progress with this connector, very interested in giving it a test for you if you still need people.

Cheers.

Has there been any news on this front? I would love to download the contact backend (at least I can sync my IPhone contacts then) as well as the calendar backend if it was finished.

Can someone tell me where to download this backend?

The only downloads for the project are on the web site but as you've already posted this question on their forums I'd suggest you wait for an answer to that question.

Yeah, I was hoping that it would be in their contribs branch of the SVN, but it wasn't. Since there were several interested users here as well, I was hoping someone here had an update.

I started a project on SourceForge to create a complete backend for Zimbra on Z-Push. So far I have a pretty decent start on it but could use help if anyone has PHP experience and is somewhat familar with the Zimbra SOAP calls (although you can really pick up on these pretty quickly). I will also need testers. Send me a message if interested.

The project on SF is located at Z-Push Zimbra Backend
