    Create meeting on your phone (in my case iPhone)
    Add invitees to the meeting (meeting request are send through mail server), for test I have used gmail account
    On my gmail account, accept meeting request
    Sync your calendar on phone, and you should receive new meeting request (from gmail acceptance)

    The problem is that in Zimbra web I have recieved mail that my meeting request is accepted and on calendar is written that.
    On iPhone, I recieve the mail, but instead update on my meeting, I receive new meeting request (from gmail account).

    It looks complicated, so I hope that you understand what have I wrote.
    I am still not sure I am following your logic all the way through.

    But, let's start with a simple check ...

    If you login to the Web Client, and open your Preferences TAB, then click on Calendar in the explorer bar on the left, it shows the options for the zimbra calendar behaviour.

    Do you have the option,

    After responding to an invitation [ ] Delete invite on reply

    This option should be checked if you are syncing your emails so that once you have accepted the invitation in one place, you do not still have the option of accepting it again from another place.

    I have that option and it's checked.
    Let my try to explain better.
    If I send meeting invitation to someone, that someone will normally get the invitation and accepts it. On web calendar I get normal response that my meeting invitation is accepted, but on iPhone instead of that I get invitation from that person for my meeting

    Does it matter what email client the other person uses to accept the meeting ?

    Release 47 of the z-push zimbra backend has just been uploaded to SourceForge (https://sourceforge.net/projects/zimbrabackend/)

    Here is a summary of the changes.
    Code:
    Changes Made To Revision 47:

     - Added NokiaFakeOut to allow Nokia E72 and some other models to Send emails
     - Added compatability fix for zimbra 5 timezone handling (see notes below)
     - Changed ConvertItemIdToInvID to check for shared item IDs (i.e. look for a
       ":" in the passed $id) in case user modifies a shared appt on phone
     - removed l= specified from ModifyAppointmentRequest to avoid moving a shared
       appt to user's own Calendar when editing it on the phone
     - Fix to avoid replacing the organizer name/email in ModifyAppointmentRequest
     - Check for Organizer Name exists before outputting (to avoid error in log)
     - Fix in GetBodyRecursive to use mb_detect_encoding() to identify the original
       encoding of an email - prior to converting it to UTF-8 for the phone. To use
       mb_detect_encoding, the PHP extension package php-mbstring must be installed
    If you test and confirm additional Nokia models can send emails with this release I would appreciate it if you can post back the models. Just one confirmation of each model will suffice to avoid flooding the thread with messages.

    Likewise, if it breaks sending for any Nokia, please let me know that too.

    But I should only have one entry.
    I think I may have found the issue. But as I don't have an iPhone, I cannot test it for you. Please look for a PM from me.

    Default Ping Lifetime on Android stuck on 290 seconds ?

    We have recently deployed some Android phones (Samsung Galaxy S) and I have noticed an increased load on z-push/zimbra.

    In troubleshooting, I have discovered that there appears to be a significant issue with the handling of the Ping request on Android 2.1 and 2.2

    For our Nokia/WM phones, an account's Ping:Lifetime will start out low (approx 8 mins) and will extend over time up to approx 59 minutes. This means that the load on the server for an email account that is not receiving emails is one hit per hour to update all folders after it has settled down.

    What I am seeing with our Android phones, is the initial ping is 470 seconds, then more often than not, the sync will drop to 290 seconds, and will stay at that level indefinetely. So, the load for an account not receiving emails is twelve hits per hour to update all folders.

    I downloaded the recently released Android 2.3 SDK and configured the Emulator to connect to my server. It behaves much better - with the ping Lifetime going in sequence 480/650/830/1010/1010/1010 - but for some reason it then drops back to 470 and starts the cycle again.

    There are comments in the code that the original developer arbitrarily decided on the 17 minute maximum lifetime - but I cannot see why they decided to restart the loop.

    I am interested to know if other people are seeing the same behaviour on their sites with Android phones.

    I am also very interested to know what the behaviour of iPhones is in this regard.

    Could one or two people with Android and/or iPhones syncing to there server please post back results. Please specify operating system versions in each case - as for Android at least there are behaviour changes from one release to the next. It could also be the case for iPhones.

    To see the Ping:Lifetime you need to enable the debug flag in wbxml.php

    You will see lines like this in your log file

    Code:
    12/10/10 13:16:51 [2462]12/10/10 13:19:57 [2732] START Setup { userid = yourUserId; devid = droid1234567890...; protocolversion = 2.5; useragent = Android/0.3 }
    12/10/10 13:19:57 [2732] No XML Profile File [/var/www/html/z-push/zimbra/yourUserId.xml] Found For User - Default Rules Will Apply
    12/10/10 13:19:57 [2732] END Setup { 87 Folders Loaded }
    12/10/10 13:19:57 [2732] POST cmd: Ping
    12/10/10 13:19:57 [2732] Ping received
    12/10/10 13:19:57 [2732] I  <Ping:Ping>
    12/10/10 13:19:57 [2732] Ping init
    12/10/10 13:19:57 [2732] I   <Ping:LifeTime>
    12/10/10 13:19:57 [2732] I    470
    12/10/10 13:19:57 [2732] I   </Ping:LifeTime>
    With the Ping Lifetime listed between the opening and closing tags.

    Please do not post lots of "I got the same results as abcdefg" messages. I am more interested in where people get different results.

    Thanks in advance

    Default Calendar issue with iOS 2/3

    Hi
    I'm using Zimbra 6, z-push 1.4.3RC et ZBackEnd 47. It works very fine for mail and contact on Android/W Phone/iOS. But there is an issue with calendar: impossible to synchronize. Regarding debug.txt, it seems it could work:

    12/03/10 17:16:19 [28648] END GetMessageList APPOINTMENTS { count = 0 }
    12/03/10 17:16:19 [28648] END GetMessageList APPOINTMENTS { count = 228 }
    12/03/10 17:16:19 [28648] Found 228 message changes
    12/03/10 17:16:19 [28648] START StatMessage (fid: 'f10' id: '46299' )

    Do you have any idea? Problem is the same on both iOS 2 ou 3. I didn't try on iOS 4.

    You have given no indication of what the problem is.

    The lines you showed are normal. Phones limit the number of appointments/emails/etc that can be synced on any one transaction. It should then issue another sync request that will pull the next 50, etc.

    What problem are you actually seeing ?

    It seems it always the same loop:
    12/03/10 17:16:23 [28482] END GetMessageList APPOINTMENTS { count = 0 }
    12/03/10 17:16:23 [28482] END GetMessageList APPOINTMENTS { count = 228 }
    12/03/10 17:16:23 [28482] Found 228 message changes

    There is no appointment in my mobile device (iTouch, iPhone).
