Default Exchange to Zimbra->Out of memory

Hello, I'm attempting to import mailboxes from our exchange server to zimbra and have run into a slight problem. When selecting which accounts to import, I get an "Out of Memory" error. However I only get this error for certain mailboxes. All the mailboxes have identical settings and are relatively similar. But for some reason whenever I select one of the "bad" email accounts and push ok to add it to the import list, I get that error. There are no details that accompany the error either. Just that message "Out of Memory."

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks

Hi,

Can you provide exchange user name and external email address for both 'good' and 'bad' email addresses.

Thanks,

Regards,
Manish

Sure.

Good email = spencerr@ameritest.net
Bad email = don@ameritest.net

The user names are the name part of the address. (ie spencerr and don)

Out of Memory conditions can be caused by large emails in the users folder. What size emails do the users have?

One of the mailboxes that gave that error had a total size of 37MB and no emails larger than 5mb. Would you expect a similar error to pop-up for the pst migration if we tried to do a workaround?

Messages that size shouldn't cause a problem with the import wizard or a pst. Do you know what type of files the attachments are?

Typically .doc, .ppt, .xls, .dat. It would take some time to go through all the emails, but besides those the only other ones would be .jpeg's and .mov

Large emails in user folders are not responsible for the problem "Out of Memory". The problem may be while processing user attributes. Can you please provide the value of following AD attributes for a user with bad email address:

msExchHomeServerName
legacyExchangeDN
proxyAddresses
c
co
company
description
displayName
givenName
initials
l
o
streetAddress
postalCode
sn
st
telephoneNumber
title
physicalDeliveryOfficeName
objectSID

You can connect to AD using any LDAP browser and get these attributes.

Thanks,
Uday.

Ok here are the attributes. Some of them I was not able to find. And for security reasons I have modified the street addrees and phone number.

msExchHomeServerName - /o=AMERITEST/ou=first administrative group/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=SERVER
legacyExchangeDN - /o=AMERITEST/ou=first administrative group/cn=Recipients/cn=don
proxyAddresses - smtp:adappraiser.ameritest.net, smtp:don@brandplace.com, smtp:webmaster@ameritest.net, smtp:dons@ameritest.net, smtp:donc@ameritest.net, smtp:assetmgr@ameritest.net, smtp:don@cyresearch.com, SMTP:don@ameritest.net
c -
co -
company -
description
displayName - Don Clark
givenName - Don
initials
l - Albuquerque
o -
streetAddress - 8121 Cherry Lake Rd, NE
postalCode - 87111
sn - Clark
st - NM
telephoneNumber - 505-443-2310
title -
physicalDeliveryOfficeName -
objectSID - 01 05 00 00 00 00 00 05 15 00 00 00 A1 F4 04 62 (binary)

Could it be because there are so many proxy addresses for this user? The others that were successfully imported didn't have nearly as many.
