| | | Split domains and qmail Hi,
I'm trying to set up our new Zimbra server as a secondary server to our current courier/qmail setup.
However, I can't figure out what the equivalent of Postfix's "relay domains" is in qmail, thus I'm not sure how I'm supposed to configure qmail to forward a specific email address to the Zimbra server...
Also, how do I handle the lmtp transfer using qmail? (AFAICT, qmail doesn't have support for this...)
Anyone? TIA!

Reason: lmtp query

| | | For domain forwarding, the file is /var/qmail/control/smtproutes.
I'm not sure there's something that works for individual email address.
You don't need LMTP, plain SMTP will work for the forward. |

| | Not knowing much about qmail but isn't it dot-forward or fastforward?

| | | The dot-forward (and fastforward) thingies were developped to be able to use sendmail style files to achieve the same that the .qmail- files.
These files allow you to forward one email address to another one, not to specify a "new" SMTP server to handle it. |

| | | qmail+LDAP and Zimbra in common domain Hi All,
I have a similar requirement for having a few users in Zimbra. Currently I have a qmail server running with OpenLDAP. I want to migrate a few qmail accounts to Zimbra, while others to continue in the existing qmail server. Both should refer to the common LDAP Server and should be on the same domain (example.com).
I have installed the zimbra sever and it's working fine. However, it could not communicate with qmail server (both in same domain, same LDAP, separated by mailHost attribute in LDAP).
I need to gradually migrate qmail users to zimbra, say around 200 users every day.
I read about split domain, which requires provisioning of all qmail accounts on zimbra server, which is not possible for me, since I have more than 4000 users in qmail. I want to run these 2 servers in parallel for some time for the same domain.
Please suggest.
