Question imapsync works to the zimbra admin user, but not others?

Hi -

I got imapsync working when it's from whatever account, to the admin account on our zimbra server like so:

imapsync --nosyncacls --subscribe --syncinternaldates --host1 mail.vivid.com --user1 jenna --password1 jameson --authmech1=LOGIN --host2 zimbra.vivid.com --user2 admin --password2 theadminpassword --authmech2=PLAIN --ssl2

.. but if I try to sync up accounts to a non-admin account it doesn't seem to work:

imapsync --nosyncacls --subscribe --syncinternaldates --host1 mail.vivid.com --user1 jenna --password1 jameson --authmech1=LOGIN --host2 zimbra.vivid.com --user2 tera --password2 patrick --authmech2=PLAIN --ssl2

and I get:

Error login : [zimbra.vivid.com] with user [username] auth [LOGIN] : 3 NO LOGIN failed

Does the user actually exist on the Zimbra server?

yes, the user(s) already exist(s) on the source and target servers, which is what is strange.

Default plain login enabled?

Just a shot here, I noticed you're specifying PLAIN for the login mechanism. Have you in fact enabled that on the server??
