Default Groupwise migration error

Hi All,

I have downloaded the groupwise migration wizard from the Zimbra downloads link and get the following error when I run it.

"This application has failed to start because GWTAPP.dll was not found. Re-Install the application may fix the problem."

However the re-install request does not refer to which application it means!

I have looked on my laptop and the dll does not exist anywhere (not even in the groupwise directory).

The migration wizard is ZCSGroupwiseMigWiz-4.5.3_GA_731.exe

Thanks,

Jed.

What version of groupwise are you using?

I belive that DLL is a groupwise dll, and not a migration DLL (bobby correct me if I'm wrong).

Soo...can you do a repair on gw?

Hi,

We are using Groupwise 7.0 and we can repair mailboxes on our laptop etc. This DLL is not part of the install on 7.0.

Thanks,

Jed.

This is a Groupwise dll for trusted apps (and part of the NDK, IIRC), have you tried downloading it and installing it on your system? Have a look at this page and try installing the dll , see if that resolves the problem. I think there's an RFE in bugzilla for adding that dll to the migration wizard in Release 5.x, you can check that in bugzilla.

Thanks for the info, I get a different error now.

"NETWIN32.dll was not found"

Again this does not appear to be part of Groupwise 7.0.

Investigation shows that this dll is part of netware. We do not use netware at all. We are running our Groupwise server on SUSE 10 Enterprise.

Is this conversion tool supposed to be run on the server? I assumed it was a client tool to allow postbox by postbox conversion.

Later,

Jed.

I'm not sure of the requirements for the Groupwise migration tool. I'd suggest one of two courses of action here, either upgrade to the latest release of Zimbra and try again or contact support - take your pick but an email to support is probably the best route.

Groupwise migration wizard requires both Groupwise client and Novell client to be installed on the machine where it is run from.

Also the tool requires administrator to be logged in to the Novell client.
