Duplicated messages

As a result of multiple import actions I have all my mail messages twice in my mailbox. Does anyone happen to know how to remove the duplicated versions?

When all duplicated mails have the same message-id you can use Thunderbird as mail-client and the extension "Duplicate Message Remover" vor it.
