To check your DNS you should do 'dig yourdomainname.com any' & dig yourdomainname.com mx'

Your /etc hosts file is also incorrect, it should be like this:

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
192.168.1.x mail.yourserver.com mail

Obviously for the IP 192.168.1.x you would put the FQDN of your server.

There's nothing I can do about the License, if you're trying to convert to Zimbra and you need an extension then you'll need to contact Zimbra sales about the license.

my zimbra servers are in a zimbra cluster. The IP 1.85 is the IP of the cluster, is the wizard working with a cluster ?
thanks i have changed my hosts and the command line dig works.

I'll be migrating a Linux Notes server to a Zimbra server hopefully soon. Looks like the first thing is to set up the DNS entries. How can I fake it if I'm not ready to reassign my MX records?

Install a dns server on your zimbra box.
