Default Migrating From Gmail to Zimbra 7.3

Hi everybody,

My question is about to migrate mails from Gmail to Zimbra 7.3. Is there any way to get it that migration directly between the servers or should I have to download the mails to a local .pst file and after that upload from that pst file to my zimbra server, the average is 6GB per mail account.

Thanks in advance

You can use IMAPSYNC to get mail from another imap server. IIRC there's a couple of threads on the forums on moving from gmail to zimbra, do a quick search (there's also some threads on IMAPSYNC and it's usage) and see what you find.

If that were possible I would have given that as the answer.

Why not? Isn't it a generic imap server?

I am trying to get my mails for hours.... Thought it could be a ssl problem or something like that.

The log always tells me imap connection failed.

If you'd searched the forums you'd know the answer, it's not feature complete yet.

I don't know what you're talking about. Which product and which release? What exactly are you trying to do and how?

imap.gmail.com - With every imap client I am able to connect to this server.

I have about 100 GB of google APPS mailboxes and want to migrate them to my Zimbra 7.1 installation.
Tried to fetch the mails via administration interface's migration wizard. But every connect fails.

The Migration Wizard is a crapshoot that's all that needs to be said.

I've already said it's not feature complete yet.
