Question Is it possible to upgrade from Zimbra FOSS to Network Edition?

Does anyone know if its' possible upgrade from Zimbra FOSS to Network Edition?

Is this just a matter of installing the license key and running the install scripts?

  1. Download Zimbra NE.
  2. Acquire Network License.
  3. Perform an upgrade install.

To eliminate problems, be sure to use the same version of the NE that you're currently using of the open source (e.g., 4.5.6).

-su zimbra
-zmcontrol -v (write down)
-zmcontrol stop
-do a backup (copy ENTIRE /opt/zimbra and any symlinked/mounted directories/folders-try to keep permissions intact)
-download the Network Edition (as close of a version as you can find), unzip it in /opt or wherever
-./install.sh (you should get prompted if you want to upgrade from an existing version of Zimbra (obviously choose yes)
-follow prompts/instructions, new license end's up in /opt/zimbra/conf/ZCSLicense.xml (you might have to put it there manually)
