Default Receive Date issue with imported emails

When we use Zimbra PST import wizard to migrate emails from Outlook into Zimbra, we realize that the received date of the imported emails are showing the imported date instead of the received date.

This cause frustration to the end users as they are no longer able to search emails by receive date since all imported emails are now showing Jan 21 2011 (see attached).

The received date is only available when the user select the email (April 22 2004 in the attached screen capture). This mean user will have to manually select each and every email one-by-one to find the receive date they are looking for.

Any solution?

Default

Just to add that when user uses advanced search with dates before 2005, these imported emails will NOT show up at all. But these 2004 emails will show up when you set the date search to or from 21 Jan 2011.

Since the original date is still there and not replaced by the imported date, should I submit this as a bug that the received column is displaying imported date instead of receiving date? And the date search is also searching the imported date instead of receiving or send date too?

Can anyone verify this issue?
