Hi
As per this link Improving Anti-spam system - Zimbra :: Wiki
I have edit the salocal.cf.in file but its not working for me .
I have use basic Rules
example , I send the mail from gmail with content ( sale ) to my office id , we have using zimbra in our office . as per the rule the mail want to block but its reaching the mail box
I add the rules in the file salocal.cf.in like this
body LOCAL_RULE /sale/
score LOCAL_RULE 0.5
Can any one tell me why its not working
Thanks in Advance

Please post the headers from the email you received. Just adding a score of 0.5 will not block the email; if it is hitting it will just add to the overall SA score.
Look at the headers of the message.
A score of .5 most likely won't be enough on its own to trigger the spam flag.
If you don't see "LOCAL_RULE" in the header then did you restart zimbra?
Hi ,
Thanku very much for your reply .
yes I have restart the zmamavisdctl service and zmmtactl like this
zmmtactl restart && zmamavisdctl restart
Thanks

Hi UXBOD ,
How much score I want to give to block the spam mail .
X-Spam-Flag: NO
X-Spam-Score: -0.285
X-Spam-Level:
X-Spam-Status: No, score=-0.285 tagged_above=-10 required=6.6
tests=[AWL=-0.405, BAYES_00=-2.599, HTML_MESSAGE=0.001,
LOCAL_RULE=0.5, SPF_PASS=-0.001, TVD_SPACE_RATIO=2.219] autolearn=no
Well it needs to score over 6.6 but I would highly recommend not using a single rule to score as spam, especially with such a generic word. Imagine if somebody which to receive the latest football resultHave a search through the forums for SaneSecurity as that which show you some new ClamAV signatures and additional RBLs you could use.
HI uxbod ,
