Default domain migration

I would like to ask you which is the best choice to migrate a domain from a Exchange to Zimbra. What I want to know is which is the best solution to migrate the domain with temporally having some accounts in the Exchange and other accounts in the Zimbra server.

If I define the same domain in the zimbra server:
- the exchange server -> all incoming emails of the domain.
- fetchmail download to zimbra the incoming emails from exchange server.
- i can't send mails from zimbra to user accounts that are stored in exchange server (zimbra says that the email account doesn't exist but it exists in exchange sever...)

If I define a different domain in the zimbra server:
- the exchange server -> all incoming emails of the domain.
- fetchmail download to zimbra the incoming emails from exchange server.
- i can send mails from zimbra to user accounts that are stored in exchange server, but the FROM field is not what should be shown.

How can i get the coexistence of the same domain in both servers with some accounts in each server?

Thanks,

Christian

You need a Split Domain for this configuration, read that article for full details or search the forums for some further posts on that subject.
