[SOLVED] From outlook/exchange to outlook/zimbra 5.0.22

Does Outlook with Zimbra server 5.0.22 suport shared contacs, calendars and mails ?
Are there any gotcha's or limitations ?
If this is not superted with Zimbra 5, is then suported in Zimbra v6?

Sure it does with the Network Edition and Zimbra Outlook Connector.

Do you currently have 5.0.22? If not, go with the latest 6.0.7.

I have 5.0.22 and sys admin doesn't want to hear anything about upgrade, at least for now (don't fix if aint broken).

Are there any instructions what to do in Zimbra 5.0.22 and outlook to enable shared calendars, contacts and mail folder ?

You need Zimbra Outlook Connector to share contacts, calendar, and mail in Outlook. The connector is only available if your server is Network Edition. But, you can do all this in the web client if using the FOSS edition.

We have network edition, I just want to know If we have all functionality with Zimbra server as we have previously with exchange.

So, does we have same functionality or not and what is missing or doesn't work properly ?

You should have full sharing capabilities with the Network Edition.

You may encounter some issues though with read/delivery receipts, which is not supported in version 5.0.22 (if I'm not mistaken). You may find some other minor differences, but overall, Zimbra is a great product.

Is this resolved in 6.0.X version ? If it is, then I have some more arguments for upgrade

Read receipts have been resolved, but the Outlook connector gave some issues, which will be fixed in the next ZCO release (I have tested the BETA, which works 100% for me). I would upgrade to the latest version though in order to overcome some other bugs in earlier versions too...

If I'm not mistaken, the guys are still working on the delivery receipts though.
