Default [SOLVED] not allowed to import to root folder for this type

Hi,

We are unable to import Outlook 2007 pst file into Zimbra v6. Is it because Zimbra support up to Outlook 2003 only? Please advise.

We tried the import wizard and it works. But it's quite slow.

Since we leave most of our emails on the previous email server, we add it as external account into Zimbra and use get mail to import them. However we get "read timed out" error. Is there a way to extend the timeout value?

That's not correct, Outlook 2007 is supported and has been for a long time. If you wish to import mail from another server you should search the wiki for the word 'migration' (there is also several threads in the forums).

If you're running Zimbra 6 you should update your forum profile with the output of the following command:

Code:
zmcontrol -v

What I mean is to login to Zimbra and use the Import function. It appears that it can only import zimbra own tgz file and not pst file. Not even Outlook 2000 and 2003 pst can be imported to Zimbra v6.

I have a few issues with the import wizard: http://www.zimbra.com/forums/migrati...tml#post188045

That's correct and that's what the import/export function is for, other tools are provided for importing .pst files as you already know.
