Default [SOLVED] DNS Migration from Google Apps to Zimbra

Hello,

We are shifting from Google Apps to self hosted Zimbra and facing a peculiar problem with DNS transfer.
It has been more than 24 hours, and when I type mail.mydomain.com, it still resolved to GMail interface on and off.
To be precise, on nslookup, it appears that the transfer is complete.
Then suddenly after half an hour GMail page shows up.
nslookup and ping also changes to google and my domain every half an hour.

Hence, we are losing mails, and the user interface also gets frustrating.

Please help me as soon as possible.
Our whole day has been messed up.

Regards,

Gurdeep

If the authoritative name servers have all been updated (not just one...), then you are dealing with cached replies. For local machines:
Windows machines - you can clear this by doing a "ipconfig /flushdns"
Linux - Depends but if it is running the nscd daemon, restarting that generally does it.
However if your ISP DNS servers are the ones returning invalid results there really isn't much that you can do other then wait for the cached values to expire.

The DNS was messed up.
I changed the DNS service provider and things are getting stable.

Thanks,

Gurdeep
