Default 5.0.19 <-> 5.0.19 Migration

I want to migrate users from my current Zimbra server behind a firewall to a new Zimbra server outside our firewall. The first go round I went from exchange to Zimbra without a problem. Are there any tools to migrate between installs to make it easy?

Current Server:

OS: Ubuntu 6.10 - 32 bit
Zimbra: Version 5.0.19_GA_3083.UBUNTU6.NETWORK

New Server:

OS: Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS - 32 bit
Zimbra: Version 5.0.19_GA_3083.UBUNTU8.NETWORK

Hi,

You can begin with this post:

Moving ZCS to Another Server » Zimbra :: Blog

Hope this helps...

Regards.

I've been testing using that process. It's taking close to 4 hrs for the sync. After the third time with errors I'm looking for other alternatives.

I'm also looking at Mail Migration. Not a simple tool but maybe a solution.

When I first went with Zimbra I built the server and migrated our accounts from exchange using the ZCS Migration Wizard for exchange. It was painless. I'm wanting to do the same here but going from ZCS to ZCS. I'm taking it that there isn't a ZCS Migration Wizard to handle ZCS to ZCS migration?

Do you have errors with the rsync command?

Could you try #rsync -avHK

Have you checked that there is not any zimbra proccess running when perform the rsync?

Regards.

Should rsync be taking this long? I'm not receiving any errors with rsync. That runs fine. It just takes forever....

I just trying to test while I still have a live server inside my firewall and running the new one outside causing me problems.

I've started testing ZCS-to-ZCS Migrations this morning.

I'm also seeing posts about a migration tool, "zmztozmig". Anyone know how to use it?

You'll find details in the Release Notes.

Read and tested on small, medium, and large accounts. Ran like a charm!

Are their anymore discussions about zmztozmig? I've searched but nothing really detailed. I ran it several times on the same small account without duplicates so I'm assuming it checks for those.
