Default [SOLVED] imapsync error on zimbra

Hi,

I have installed the zimbra 5 in RHEL 5.

I need to migrate my merak(IMAP) email accounts to zimbra.

I have installed the imapsync tool in one of my linux machine.

And I can successfully can migrate the mails from merak(IMAP) server to zimbra.(in RHEL 4)

But same way i tried to migrate the merak to zimbra(RHEL 5) but have some error.

Error message as follow. Kindly help me to solve this issue.

/usr/bin/imapsync --buffersize 8192000 --nosyncacls --subscribe --syncinternaldates --noauthmd5 --host1 10.100.1.64 --user1 charlesprem --password1 kgisl123 --host2 10.100.1.7 --user2 live --password2 kgisl123
will try to use LOGIN authentication on host1
will try to use LOGIN authentication on host2
From imap server [10.100.1.64] port [143] user [charlesprem]
To imap server [10.100.1.7] port [143] user [live]
Banner : * OK IceWarp 9.3.1 RHEL4.6 IMAP4rev1 Thu, 29 Oct 2009 16:58:33 +0530
Host 10.100.1.64 says it has CAPABILITY for AUTHENTICATE LOGIN
Success login on [10.100.1.64] with user [charlesprem] auth [LOGIN]
Banner : * OK IMAP4 ready
Host 10.100.1.7 says it has NO CAPABILITY for AUTHENTICATE LOGIN
Error login : [10.100.1.7] with user [live] auth [LOGIN]: 3 NO cleartext logins disabled

3 NO cleartext logins disabled
...propagated at /usr/bin/imapsync line 676.
User charlesprem to live done

Ok, this error happens because you don't enable authenticate LOGIN in zimbra
Please enable it before use imapsync

su zimbra
zmprov ms domain.com zimbraReverseProxyImapSaslGssapiEnabled TRUE zimbraReverseProxyImapSaslPlainEnabled TRUE zimbraReverseProxyStartTlsMode on zimbraImapCleartextLoginEnabled TRUE
and restart your server to enable these settings

Well depends what auth mechanism you want to use. Defaulta to LOGIN and since your server is not yet enabled with LOGIN so fails . However you an use --authmech1 ssl also if you want to use ssl

Thank you very mush... its working now after giving autentication using your commends ..

zmprov ms domain.com zimbraReverseProxyImapSaslGssapiEnabled TRUE zimbraReverseProxyImapSaslPlainEnabled TRUE zimbraReverseProxyStartTlsMode on zimbraImapCleartextLoginEnabled TRUE
