HELP migrated from 32bit to 64bit now zmmailboxdctl isn't running

I thought SERVFAIL meant that it could not reach your DNS server What do you have in /etc/nsswitch.conf ?

Have you added a reverse PTR into your DNS ?

yes. dns has been working for over a year on my other box.

Well the NXDOMAIN error would suggest that there is no PTR record. Does dig show the record ?

Okay, so give this a try and change in /etc/resolv.conf

search thecornbread.com theclarks.cc

[cornbread]

that gives me:

administrator@mailer:~$ host `hostname`
mailer.thecornbread.com has address 192.168.0.17
mailer.thecornbread.com mail is handled by 10 mailer.thecornbread.com.

but zmcontrol status still shows:
