you're wrong in:
--authmech1=LOGIN
--authmech2=PLAIN
must modify:
--authmech1 LOGIN
--authmech2 PLAIN
don't use "="

Thanks for your respond. I did made the changes you suggested, but it was the same error message. I am actually running this from the root directory as you can see. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I am migrating users one at a time, but will like to try it on my account first.
One thing I did before doing the imapsync was to increase the message size to 25m. I hope that is not the issue.

Looks like only the first line is executing and then it's cut, that's why you might have the error while trying to execute second line:
bash: --authmech1=LOGIN: command not found -

Yes, but when I switch to what was suggested by dalmate, I had the same error. I am not sure what is holding it up.

I tried your script and made some modifing, it worked well:
Quote:
imapsync --buffersize 8192000 --nosyncacls --subscribe --syncinternaldates --host1 10.2.xxx.xxx --user1 test1@test1.com --password1 abc123 --authmech1 LOGIN --host2 10.2.xxx.xxx --user2 test2@test2.com --password2 abc123 --authmech2 PLAIN --ssl2

Thanks again Dalmate. But I honestly don't know what is stoping imapsync from doing what it is suppose to do. I don't know whether it is something that has to do with my zimbra server configuration or what.
What I am trying to do is migrate a users email from my current email server to a domain on my zimbra server. The fqdn of my zimbra server is zimbra.mail.test.com and the domain is @mail.test.com. I am not sure whether that is the reason, but I don't think so. Please help

I have resolved this problem by myself. The password has an amp sign (&). That was what was causing the error. After changing the password to something else, it start moving the emails.
Thanks all for your suggestions.
