[SOLVED] Possible to switch authentication from AD to local just to migrate mail? We are moving from Novell NetMail to Zimbra Network 5.0.18 with Active Directory as the authentication. imapsync tested and working to do the heavy lifting, but we need to know the user's password in AD in order to connect to Zimbra... or do we?
We provisioned the new accounts on Zimbra with a default password while the domain was set up with local authentication. Then, we configured the domain to authenticate against Active Directory.
Would it be possible (or break anything!) to switch the authentication back to local just long enough to run imapsync and complete the mail migration? This may be a question of whether the default password is still around for local authentication, or if pointing to AD loses it?
Thanks for any advice! |
