Hello!
@1st. My English may sometimes be unreadable because my native language is Russian. So, be patient please.
MDaemon mail server have brilliant feature: mail archive. It means that ALL (or specified) incoming and outgoing messages are copied to special folders.
The directory tree built like:
inbound - domain - user
outbound - domain - user
for example, if I need to check mails sent by johndow@mydomain.ru, I just look for these in
folder.Code:\mdaemon\public folders\mail archive.IMAP\mydomain.ru.IMAP\Outbound from.IMAP\johndow@mydomain.ru.IMAP
Should I look what did Little John received, I look in folder
Such structure made mail archiving just a cakewalk: run usual CLI archiver (in my case it is non-commercial version of Eugene Roshal's RAR or Robert Jung's JAR) and point it to root folder of the MDaemon's mail archive and get compressed messages in safe place.Code:\mdaemon\public folders\mail archive.IMAP\mydomain.ru.IMAP\Inbound to.IMAP\johndow@mydomain.ru.IMAP
Is there any way to implement similar behavior using ZCS's services?
Probable it is for Postfix configuration, but I'm complete newbie in Linux mail systems and even do not know what parameters look for.
Also, there is another cool thing in GMail: also mail archiving. Most webmail systems allow to store in the mailbox messages sent vie web-interface. But only GMail AFAIK also stores SMTP-sent messages, so ALL of my mail exchange via GMAIL is available for me from any place.
How about this?
