Can you use Zimbra as a client to Exchange server?

Hi,

I have a Mac (running Leopard) and have just joined a company which uses a hosted Exchange service. They don't care what client or technologies I use as long as it is compatible with Exchange for messaging and calendaring.

Is it possible to use Zimbra for this purpose? If so, what version?

Zimbra Collaboration Suite is a server itself, it wont work as a client to MS Exchange.

It may be possible to use Zimbra Desktop, which is a thick client designed to retrieve and store email from remote servers. The will support the Zimbra server and other online email systems so it should be possible to point it at your exchange server using POP3 or IMAP.
