Filter old e-mail

Hi all,

I'm about to migrate away from Google Apps to a Zimbra setup. All looks well, pop2imap does a nice job. Now I'm stuck with 30k messages in the inbox.

I'd like to work with tags/labels instead of folders, I like the way Gmail introduced that. I can create a filter rule to do so, but that only applies to new messages. What about the 30k messages already in my inbox, is there a way to apply filter rules to those?

Is it possible to select x number of messages and mark them as read? That's what I want to do with all my old mail.
