Default One mail account with 700 GB of data?

Guys,

What's the max anyone's tried to use with Zimbra in one mail account? We have a mail account that indexes all email across our entire company for auditing purposes...it's now at around 700GB. I'm interested in how Zimbra might handle this, given that it's currently miserable to try to search through it. I've been looking at dbmail.org as a possible way to make searching/queries faster, but since I've had good experience with Zimbra...the thought occurred that it might be able to handle it...

Thoughts?

Thanks,
John

Lucene is pretty efficient, and so is MySQL, so I don't presume there would be a problem.

Set up a test machine, pump all the mail into it, and give it a try. If I had 700 GB worth of email, I'd try it. The most I've tried is 25 GB, and it wasn't any slower than it was with 100 MB.

Well, currently we've got around 50 GB moved over, and after feeding it more RAM, it cruches through very well and fast. What great technology!

I'll update when we make it to the full 700 GB with results.

Thanks,

I'm curious to see your results, as well.

zmstat-chart provides some nice performance information that you can monitor as well.
