Default imapsync hangs on random attachment

I have Zimbra 5.0.5 GA installed on Ubuntu 6.06 LTS (all freshly installed today).

I am sync'ing a large mailbox and have noticed imapsync hangs on random messages. here is what I know so far:

1) It looks like all the messages have attachments
2) The attachments are not too large (it successfully sync'd much larger attachments - 9MB+ - but hangs on attachments of 1MB or smaller
3) Verified all Zimbra attachment/quota issues are not in play here (quotas set to unlimited and attachment sizes set to 100MB... more than 5x larger than the largest attachment)
4) It looks like it especially has a problem with XLS and DOC files.

Zimbra is installed with ALL the defaults in place except for quota sizes and attachment limits.

Using imapsync-1.252

Using "--debugimap" shows the message is being properly pulled from the old server.

No errors or timeouts displayed in the zimbra log files... it truly just hangs without any output immediately after pulling the file from the original server.

I am using the OSS edition of Zimbra for my testing.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm not tied to imapsync. If there is another tool out there to sync from one imap server to another that'd be fine too.

The old server is running Courier IMAP on Debian and I've had no trouble accessing it.

Welcome to the forums.

I had a problem with a much older version of Zimbra, where convertd would crash and hang the sync until I killed the process, and imapsync would continue.

If you're just installing, might I suggest that you try using the latest version, Zimbra is now up to 5.0.6.

Default update

Sorry... I mis-stated the version. I am using 5.0.6 (downloaded Saturday)
