Default Migration from Kolab2 to Zimbra

Hello,

one of my customers ist currently using a Kolab2 Groupware with horde webinterface. The system system supports nearly 120 users. Now it is time to replace this system and it seems that Zimbra could be a good successor.

Kolab stores all the userinformation in an LDAP database. Is it possible to migrate the users vom Kolab to Zimbra (at least their accounts and passwords) and how can i migiate the contents of their imap folders.
Has anyone experiance with a Kolab to Zimbra migration or has an ideo of how to start with such a migration?

help and hints are welcome

Welcome to the forums.

The recommended method of migrating the IMAP mail is to use IMAPSYNC. Have a look at this article on the wiki and see how much of it does what you need.

Sorry phoenix, your link wasn't working in my browser, but what I saw when I searched for imapsync ist that I need every users account and password. Is this right? Or is there an other way to execute the migration as admin?

Do you have an idea how to migrate the useraccounts to zimbra's ldap?

Regards
Uwe
