Default Zimbra to Exchange

Hi all

I have a question: my boss will evaluate the zimbra software. So he will migrate from our Exchange 2003 system to Zimbra but he wants to have to possibility to (if he doesn't like Zimbra) switch back. Do you have also the possibility to export the accounts (mail, calendar and contacts) from Zimbra such that Exchange 2003 can import them? If not, do you probably know how to do that (do I have to write directly in the Active Directory of Exchange) because then I would try it by myself.

Welcome to the forums

You could sync the mail back to Exchange using IMAPSync ?

Thanks for the warm welcome. *gg*

My problem are not primarily the mails. In fact that my boss wants reuse the Exchange server for other purposes, I will have to create also new accounts on Exchange. I would appreciate to not create them manually.

Also the point in time when eventually switching back to Exchange is not clear. It may be in a week but also in a half year. Therefore there may be new Account on Zimbra which were previously not on Exchange...

Why not authenticate ZCS against your AD then ? LDAP Authentication - Zimbra :: Wiki

I do not believe it is possible to keep your accounts in sync automagically via ZCS. You could write your own tool say, say using ADSI, so create/delete users in AD, and issue SOAP calls for performing the task on the ZCS side.

I've token now an eye on the ADSI and on the CDOEXM. It looks like that I can create new email accounts with that tecnologies. But no calendar or contacts. Is that correct?

I checked now the ADSI. With that technology I can create User accounts and Mailboxes. But no calendars or contacts. Any suggestions?
