Just run ./install.sh to upgrade, make sure you take a backup of /opt/zimbra first. You realise that openSUSE 10.0 isn't a supported platform for Zimbra 5.x don't you? You'll need to upgrade your operating system as well, please search the forums for details on what to do.

Wink Do I need to upgrade to 4.5.11 before upgrading to 5.0.2

Dear all,
Can anyone help me with my silly questions?
If I need to upgrade my zimbra 4.5.9 installation on my open Suse 10.0,do I need to upgrade to 4.5.11 before upgrading to 5.0.2?
I know zimbra 5.0.2 will not support Open SuSe 10.0.What are the correct procedures for the operating system upgrade?Do I need to do OS upgrade before upgaring zimbra?

regards,

Didn't I just answer this question? If you needed to upgrade to 4.5.11 first I would have said so. You can either upgrade the o/s first or Zimbra first - your choice. Please search the forums for some details on what to do.

Here is the path I took and it worked flawlessly.

Upgrade your Zimbra to 4.5.11. Then Put your Open Suse 10.2 disk in and rebot to the SuSE install. Tell SuSE you want to do an upgrade and not a new install. When that is done upgrade 4.5.11 to 5.0.2
