Default Exchange 5.5 to Zimbra 5.0.2 - Problem French Accent

Hi,

We use "ZCSExchangeMigrationWizard-5.0.2_GA_1967.exe" to migrate some accounts from Exchange 5.5 (Windows NT4) to Zimbra 5.0.2.
We have 2 problems :
- in many messages, the french accents disappeared ! (in the body, not the subject)
- the mails in format RTF (!!) lose their images.

The first problem is more problematic.
Does anyone has ever had this problem ?

Regards,
Daniel.

Bienvenue sur le forum.

Never got/seen those problems.
I just made a search in the bugzilla and found nothing either (but I'll search again in a couple minutes).

Did you launch the migration wizard from the NT4 server or from another computer (with a "modern" OS and Oulook 2003 or Outlook 2007) ?

BTW, you should know that running Zimbra NE on CentOS is not supported.

Hi,

Yes, it does, but here we lose the chars.
In fact, we verified and there is no problem when we import from PST.
The problem is only when we import from exchange 5.5 (Wizard).

Here are some examples :
"bonjour à tous" becomes "bonjour tous"
"nous procéderons" becomes "nous procrons"
"si nécessaire" becomes "si nssaire".
And this problem is only in the body, not in the subject.

Regards,
Daniel.

Daniel, when you use the Exchange Wizard, on which computer are you using it ? Exchange server or a computer with Outlook (and which Outlook version) ?

I use the Wizard on a computer with Windows XP SP2 and Outlook 2003 SP2.
Exchange is on the Windows NT4 server.

Daniel.

Finally, we used imap2sync to migrate messages (email) and no problem with accents. Moreover, it was faster
And we used the wizard for calendar, contacts...

Daniel.

In order to maintain html format we migrate from local psts.
Imapsync it´s ok, but the result is in text.

Hi,
My response comes "too" late, I suppose.
But we don't have this problem with imap2sync (no problem with html mail).
I can send you our script with imap2sync if you want.
Regards,
Daniel.
