Syncing Contacts ONLY from an Exchange Server

I was wondering what ideas folks out there might have for my situation.

I have a client with ~200 users in an Exchange environment which would very much like to be able to migrate the Contacts ONLY from Exchange to mailboxes we've provisioned for them in Zimbra. I could do a full Exchange migration, but I'd rather not move the huge amount of data in the mailboxes for a few kilobytes of contact info per user.

Is there any hidden registry setting to disable migrating mail / calendar data?

Is there a way to "export" the calendars from Exchange users in to PSTs from the server in a scripted manner? Then you could just import the PSTs en masse.
