    Default RHEL4 migration from 4.0.5 to 5.0.1

    Hi forum

We currently have a ZCS Network edition v4.0.5 on RHEL4
And we would like to migrate to the last release 5.0.1...

I suppose according to all that I have already read that we need to upgrade first to a 4.5.x...
Any idea on which 4.5.x version is a better choice ?
Where can I download these old versions ?

Any suggestions other than (of course) doing backups and being sure that RHEL is up2date previously to any upgrade ?

    Kind regards,
    Patrice.

You could do whatever 4.5.x you want for the upgrade from 4.0.5 (I would at least get on 4.5.10 before the 5.0.1 hop) you don't have to cycle through all the sub-releases.
Let us know if you have a multi-server setup/any LDAP replicas.
    Yes make plenty of backups!
& before I forget: Welcome to the Zimbra forums!

Thank you for information and the welcome
No multi-server config and no LDAP replica for the moment.

I have already downloaded the tarball, but I can't get the following doc :
    http://files.zimbra.com/website/docs...es%204-5-9.pdf

I'm looking for ZCS migration from 4.0.x to 4.5.x docs but I can't download some related ones... I get either a 403 error with wget or IE and get an XML error message with Firefox.

Any clue ? Maybe a bug on archives repository ?

    Kind regards,
    Patrice.

You can grab the NE ones from the support portal, but here's a working link to the 4.5.10 release notes: http://files.zimbra.com/docs/releasenotes/4.5.10.pdf

I already tried to get it from support portal, but I got the v5.0 release notes even if I where in the 4.5 section...

Thank you for the working link.

I did the upgrade from 4.0.5 to 4.5.10 ... With some mistakes... But I'm young to zimbra management

Maybe I missed something in release notes but some users are reporting that they can't get their messages from Outlook 2003 clients and only 2003 version...

    Any idea ?

    Regards,
    Patrice.
