How can migrate users, domains and configuration from version 4.5 to 5RC2 ?
Is this Network Edition or the OSS version of Zimbra? If it's OSS you do realise that it's now GA?

Thanks Bill form the fast replay.
It's the OSS version. Now I'm making a new install of 5.0.0GA. The old version works good. Now i'm dedicated a new server to the 5.0 release and i need to migrate 4.5 data structure to the new one.

OK, if you have Zimbra 5 on a new server then you'll need to migrate the data individually for each mailbox. You'll need to copy the mail using IMAPSYNC, the contacts can be exported as csv and imported into the new server and any calendar information will have to be exported/imported via REST, check the details on the wiki article.
As an alternative you could install 4.5 on the new server, copy the directory structure from the old server then run an ugrade for 4.5 again. When that's done and working you could then upgrade to 5.0

What bad news! I have 500 mailboxes and 12 domains and a big number of aliases. It's not possible to do an ldap export from the old version and an ldap import to the new version ?
Waiting yours i will thank you in advance

You can move the installation fairly easily, have a look at the instructions in this article. This will move your current installation to the new hardware, you should block port 25 while you're doing this so no email comes into the system and then make sure it's all OK on the new server before going any further. Once you're happy that the new install is working OK you should take another full backup and then upgrade to Zimbra 5.
It is a straightforward process but will involve some downtime for your server.

I just tried this procedure with no success (different release)
I even tried to export ldap data from ol versione and do import in the new version but i get this error
zimbra@mail:~> openldap/sbin/slapadd -f /opt/zimbra/conf/slapd.conf -l /tmp/ldap.ldif
The first database does not allow slapadd; using the first available one (2)
bdb_db_open: database already in use
backend_startup_one: bi_db_open failed! (-1)
slap_startup failed
zimbra@mail:~>
I used "su - zimbra" to become zimbra user.
It's possible to script zmprov to create users previously exported with gaa -v command on the old machine ?
It's possible I missed something, but why can't you just run the installer as an upgrade?
I'm trying this way. News as possible. Happy new year
