Default move users and messages to new server

We Just built a new server to run our zimbra mail server. our old one was getting a bit old. It was running Zimbra 4.5.4 network edition. The new server has 4.5.10 installed. I was wondering how to migrate all users(authentication settings, message stores, calendars...) to the new server

Welcome to the forums,

http://www.zimbra.com/blog/archives/...er_server.html
Either bring the 4.5.4 to 4.5.10 first.
Or ./install.sh -u on the 4.5.10 box, move over the 4.5.4 material, then upgrade.

Sry you spent time configuring the .10 box though!

Question, pursuant to this. I've got an existing Zimbra server running 4.5 OSE. If I set up a new server running a licensed copy, or just a new 5.0 OSE server, is there a way to move the messages over from one server to the other? I.e. is there a tool that can just move a whole account from one server to the next?

Q: Do you absolutely need to configure a brand new server, or can you use the old config/setup and do the blog method?

Might give us the exact zcs versions, operating systems, and your intent.

If you need to switch server operating system platform's you can still use the blog method: /blog/archives/2007/10/moving_zcs_to_another_server.html
-Note how step 3 is install.sh -s which is used for the platform switch
-Platform doesn't matter, you just need to keep the zimbra version's the same (& note gid/uid's etc)

32bit > 64bit there's more needed however: /blog/archives/2007/05/exporting_and_importing_zimbra_ldap_data_1.html

Or you could upgrade the 4.5.x box to NE first then use:
/docs/ne/latest/administration_guide/10_Backup_Restore.14.1.html
CLI - zmbackup Network Edition Only - Zimbra :: Wiki

If those don't fit your situation you're left with imapsync, rest exports & curl imports: User Migration - Zimbra :: Wiki
