Default [SOLVED] Zimbra with existing POP accounts

    Hi,

Is it possible to have Zimbra running on an internal network and retrieve and send mail from existing pop accounts? If this is possible, how do you configure it?

    Thanks.

Yes, you can do this and a quick search of the forums or the user preferences would have found it.

Go to the preferences tab and creat a new account, you can specify the pop account there, you have to hit the 'Get Mail' button but zimbra 5 will be able to download on a schedule. You'll send the mail directly from zimbra, not the external account unless you choose to relay though your ISP's mail server.
    Regards

Thanks for the info. The problem I had was in sending mail, but that was due to exim4 runnung also. I now have a problem where mail seem to be sent but I never receive it. The log shows:
    server postfix/smtp[18954]: 044D288CC29: to=<xxxx@xxx.com>, relay=smtp.someserver.com[xx.xxx.xx.xx], delay=1, status=sent (250 OK id=1IwcFo-0001sp-6C)

Any ideas why the mail is not received?

    FIXED:

    I needed :
    Domain Masquerading

If you want mail from user@domain.com or user@zimbra.domain.com to appear to come from user@example.com, you can set the canonical address for the entire domain.

    zmprov md domain.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @domain.com zimbraMailCatchAllCanonicalAddress @example.com
    zmprov md zimbra.domain.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @zimbra.domain.com zimbraMailCatchAllCanonicalAddress @example.com

I guess my ISP dropped messages with a 'spoofed' from address.
