Default imail address books to Zimbra

Is there a way on the admin/server side to import address books from iMail to Zimbra without having to involve the end users? I want to be able to migrate them over night and when they come in the next morning, not has changed as far as they are concerned other than the look.

I have found the txt files in iMail where the address books are and getting them to a csv file would not be an issue, I just don't want to have to log in as over 200 users and import each one separately. Thanks.

You might want to check out the User Migration wiki page. It discusses importing contacts from the command line. Might be something you can use to put into a script.

dj.. You can PM me and I can help. I been traveling and busy so not able to work on the IMAIL 2 ZIMBRA project to release to public...but i cam individually help if required.

It takes around 5-10 min to import “all” settings for 200 users from Imail to zimba

Default you are the first one..

Sent you the first copy of my tool with basic help doc in it.
Let me know if you have any problem..

* Please read the README.TXT and READ_ME_FIRST.HTM in the install folder before using the tool
* Always backup zimbra in full before doing any mass updates/exports to it

good luck..

We were finally get to the point of using Raj's tool and it worked great. There one small issue with the address books that I am sending Raj so he can modify his tool to work with issue. Other than that, it worked great. Thanks Raj.

Raj,

Did you ever post this utility anywhere? I am planning a similar migration from iMail to Zimbra. From the sounds of it, this would come in very useful.

Thanks!
