Default Backgrading the NetworkEdition to the OSS version

Hello,

for the case we would test the NetworkEdition and afterwards decide
to use "only" the OSS-version, is it required to remove the Network-
edition and afterwards reinstall the OSS version?

Thank's a lot for any feedback!

John

The OSS version and be installed 'over' the NE, just use the same version of OSS and the NE that is installed and you'll be good to go.

Have a backup first of course.

Thank you for the feedback! I am not sure if I do understand you. I should probably have asked that way:

Can an expired NE installation be updatet with the OSS version of Zimbra (or it it necessary first to uninstall the NE version)?

Thank's

John

Yes, it can. Use exactly the same release level of the OSS Zimbra as you had installed for NE, just run the install script. Do not uninstall the NE version or you'll lose everything and do not try and upgrade to a different release level.

Thank's Bill for the feedback!

Ok, I understand the importance of using the same same release level for such a "downgrade"..

Still some questions:

1.
Does that mean all settings/configurations done in the Network Edition would be available in the OSS Version?

2.
Can the OSS version be upgarded to the NE-version as well (while keeping all settings/configurations done in the OSS version)?

Thank's a lot in advance for your help!

John

Well the NE features disappear...as long as you don't run ./install.sh -u (which would uninstall everything)
