Default CalDAV support within Web Client?

Hi - I'm starting the evaluation of Zimbra as a replacement for MS Exchange. One of the features that I know it supports is the ability to be a CalDAV server to various clients including Macs, Thunderbird (Lightning), and Sunbird. But what I can't figure out is how to include a CalDAV calendar within Zimbra's own web client. Am I missing something or isn't this supported? How do you add CalDAV calendars which are external to the Zimbra server?

Is this something that's going to be included in release 6?

Thanks!
Pat

I haven't tried it but you might try New Calendar and then when naming it, check "Synchronize appointments from remote calendar". Not sure if this functions as a true CalDAV calendar or instead as a WebDAV + iCalendar "subscribe".

Note that if you're sharing calendars within Zimbra you should use the built-in sharing/access method, not CalDAV. Doing so will automatically expose the shared calendar to any CalDAV client--although you could, if you wish, experiment with subscribing directly from the client.

Unfortunately this doesn't appear to work. The "Synchronize appointments from remote calendar" is for iCal calendars rather than CalDAV calendars. What I'm trying to figure out is how to get the Zimbra web client to display a CalDAV calendar hosted on a non-Zimbra CalDAV server. Can this be done?

pat_allen, I don't believe that the web client can work as a CalDAV client for external CalDAV servers. You may want to vote for this enhancement request, which describes the kind of functionality you're looking for (albeit with specific references to Google Calendar).

Thanks for pointing me to the enhancement request.
