Default iSync and CalDAV errors with iCal - CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation

Hi,

Wondering if somebody can help me with this. We have a customer who is suffering a problem on one of our Zimbra servers. The server is bang up to date: Version 5.0.13_GA_2792.RHEL4.NETWORK 6 Feb 2009 and they are using the latest version of the connector that comes with this server version.

The problem is that in iCal after setting up an account in the Zimbra connector (and so creating a CalDAV account) it will perform an initial sync, but then a little warning sign will show up next to the CalDAV account in iCal. When you click on it you get an error. These errors can differ, so I have attached all three of the different ones I saw.

I did some searching and some people around the net seem to suggest that CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation is not unique to Zimbra, but rather might be associated with iCal and how it handles CalDAV. All the same I thought I best check to see if anyone has any ideas why this is happening, and potential fixes? We have many Zimbra servers and I have not seen this reported on any of the others, so this leads me to believe it may be a server related issue?

Many thanks,
Gary

Any ideas anyone? Perhaps this should be on another board, maybe the admin one? It is a CalDAV problem though so this probably is the best home for it.

I've also come across an account getting the CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation error.

have you tried unticking the CalDav option in the Zimbra preference pane and just setting up the CalDav account directly in iCal?

This happens even if the user does not use the iSync connector, which makes me think it is probably more of a server/CalDAV issue. Any ideas?

The funny thing is, this problem seems to be related only to certain mailboxes. We also thought there might be a link between shared calendars and this problem, but we have no conclusive evidence for that.

Which version of ZCS are you using ?

There's been tons of updates/optimizations on the calendar server (especially CalDAV part) in 5.0.14 and 5.0.16

Hi Klug,

I upgraded them to:

Version 5.0.15_GA_2852.RHEL4.NETWORK 10 Mar 2009

It appears they are still having problems. Do you think if we shift them up to 5.0.16 this would help? Have you seen this problem before?

Many thanks,
Gary

There's an opened bug for this.
Bug 35014 – iCal does not show appointments on large calendar folders

You should vote for the bug, maybe give some "how to reproduce" informations too.
