M2 Source installation on FC3

I did the fresh install of OS (FC3) on Dell PowerEdge server, and downloaded Zimbra Source M2, which is 26MB. Followed the steps given in readme_source, but when i do make dev-install its giving the output

I found that there are no files in ThirdParty/mysql/, except Makefile.

Do i need to download that exact version and rebuild ? or is there any other source file which i have to download from zimbra?

Yeah, with the source installations, you would need the exact third party package versions the Makefile is looking for.

There are binary packages for Fedora Core 3, that might be a bit easier unless you're trying to do something fancy during the compile.

That howto has the info you need to build from CVS. You can change versions, but you'll have to track the version numbers down in several places to get it to work.
