Default Not able to login to zimbra

Hello,

I have installed zimbra on rhel4 with all system requirements. However when I run 'zmcontrol status' as the zimbra user I get Cannot determine services - exiting.

Dns is resolving fine.

etc/hosts entry is
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
IPaddress zimbra.ham-it.com zimbra

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards,
Ninad

Is this system behind a firewall and/or router? If it is you need a local DNS server and slpit-dns set-up.

Please post the output of the following commands:
Code:
host `hostname` <-- backticks not single quotes
dig ham-it.com any
dig ham-it.com mx

According to the information you've posted your domain does not have any A or MX records, also check this report.

You will have seen an error message about this during the install, you'll also see errors in the install log if you look at that.

You need to fix the DNS for your server before Zimbra will install correctly. Check the forums & wiki for some details on what you need to do.
