Question Authorization of external smtp server

I tried to set up a relay smtp server, but the one I use requires authentication with a userid and password. How do you so that in Zimbra? it seems only to let you specify the server address and port number.

I think you enter the username in the servername, for example:
jholder@zimbra.com
Password.

or maybe that's just FTP.
In any case, try it

Default smtp auth

Thanks. I found an article in the wiki that addresses the issue. You have to create a relay_password file in the postfix directory and enable it. Nontrivial command-line stuff. Not pretty but it works
